Rear Bulkhead
Engineering SeriesThe bulkhead is laser cut from 2mm aluminium. They are sealed to reduce noise and heat soak into the cabin. Two Spal fans in the boot lid extract warm air ensuring cooler air is drawn in from beneath the car, circulating air in the engine bay to help manage heat soak. There are two removable top panels to allow easier access to the engine bay, through the optional removable Perspex rear window.
The 1.6 EcoBoost and K20 have a flat bulkhead. The Hayabusa has a tightly packaged raised cover to clear the air filter or plenum so as to minimise rearward visibility. The 2.3 EcoBoost and TFSI have a smaller raised section to clear the high pressure fuel pump. The K20 supercharged has a modest raised section to one side to clear the top of the supercharger and boost pipes.
