Restomod Build Diary

This was our first 1.6 EcoBoost commission. This was commissioned to be part of a pair of demo cars for our US dealer which would over time visit motorsport country clubs around the US. This car was restored and given a more motorsport theme with aerocatches, perspex side and rear windows along with bucket seats and harnesses and finished in Porsche Ice Blue. The bumper seams were removed to give it distinctive look and contrast to its sister Mini.

An aftermarket ECU was fitted along with our solid state electronics setup, steering-wheel mounted controls for variable boost and traction control. With our first generation chargecooler setup, power was confined to 300 BHP and 300 ft. lbs. of torque, which is on par with 400 BHP per ton. An LSD was also fitted.

Gun metal alloys were fitted with Yokahoma A048 semi slick tyres. A Coolerworx gear shifter is being shipped for retrofit.
