Restomod Build Diary

Based on a new Heritage shell and forged K20 engine, this was developed to be our first car approved for a new registration. The shell is fully strengthened and painted in Soul Red pearlescent with Carbon Fibre; bumpers, light surrounds and door mirrors which complete the exterior colour which is also de-chromed.

The built engine has a Rotrex C38-91 supercharger which should be good for 450 BHP and circa 270 ft. lbs. of torque. The gearbox has been rebuilt with a 4.38 final drive and taller ratios to counter the 13” wheels shortening the gearing, such that 70 mph equates to an engine speed of 3500 rpm, so motorway journeys will be more refined.

An aftermarket ECU, solid state electronics and throttle body setup with a steering wheel mounting variable throttle map and traction control. Cruise control is also fitted. Cobra’s Nogaro seats, electric windows, electric heater and our custom carpet set complete the spec.
